101. Al-Qari'ah - The Calamity (سورة القارعة) - Revealed in Makkah
Verse 1 | (101:1)

Al-Qâri'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection),

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْقَارِعَةُ

And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is?

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ

It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about,

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ

And the mountains will be like carded wool,

Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy,
